We're incredibly excited to launch hugo - our first ever app!

When team trentbarton sat down to put the project together the possibilities with what we could do with an app were endless. Over the years we've had lots of requests from customers on what a trentbarton app should do, but first and foremost we wanted to create an app that would focus on the majority of our customer's needs.

hugo was born. An app that will give you live times, simple journey planning and personalised updates.

Your trusty travel sidekick.

what can hugo do?

Our customers constantly tell us through research that the number 1 priority is timekeeping. It's frustrating when you're heading to, or waiting at a bus stop wondering if it'll be on time. It's something that we've put a lot of effort in to behind the scenes, and are still working hard to meet your expectations. hugo puts every departure time, for every bus, at every stop just a few taps away. So, when you're planning to leave work, or wondering if you've got enough time for another drink, you can get up-to-the-minute, reliable information on when your bus is due.

feel waitless – live times for trentbarton, Kinchbus and NCT plus all the scheduled times from across the East Midlands so you’ll never miss another bus.

personalise your travel – save your home and work locations as well as favourite stops and trips. Check for traffic advice and get updates on the latest travel info.

plan-tastic – making a new trip? hugo will give you the best options and guide you with step-by-step details to make it simple. There is even a reminder for when you need to set off.

areas covered: Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Loughborough, Ilkeston, Long Eaton, Ashbourne, Belper, Burton, Mansfield, Heanor, Ripley and Hucknall - pretty much the entire East Midlands.

operators for live bus times: trentbarton, Kinchbus and Nottingham City Transport - we'll be looking to add more in the near future.

operators for journey planning: trentbarton, Kinchbus, NCT, Arriva East Midlands, Stagecoach East Midlands, Yourbus and NET tram.

why did we create an app?

The real benefit of hugo, over our existing trentbarton live website offering, is that it enables us to personalise the journey experience for the customer. We’ve had real-time departure information for each and every bus stop across our entire network within trentbarton and Kinchbus for many years, through our website, with customers able to simply ‘bookmark’ their regular stop. But what that could never do was enable us to alert the customer to any disruption to their service, store their regular journeys - for example; from home to work, or the shops, and receive relevant notifications which are beneficial their journeys.
