Huge boost for red arrow

‘You’ll hardly need a timetable’ - popularity and city magnetism prompt turn up and go frequency; new coaches on the way

So popular is red arrow that plans are sealed to boost the Derby-Nottingham frequency from every 15 minutes to every 10.  And the Chesterfield – Derby extension will be doubled to half-hourly.  It’s all set for July and as our Newsletter goes to press, new coaches are being sourced to extend red arrow’s air-conditioned, leather-seated luxury fleet from 8 to 13.

Brand Manager Graham Price said:

“This is thrilling news.  At a time when so many businesses have been cutting back, we are moving forward – and it all started with just one departure an hour!

red arrow is hot property -  a hugely well-known brand with exceptional customer service.  It’s just as quick if not quicker than driving (especially by the time you’ve parked), and people like the coach luxury – including the free wifi which is being used more and more.  We run at night over the weekends and we’re also a top choice for students – with major campuses in both cities.

“But it also speaks volumes for the strength of Derby and Nottingham as centres of attraction that people just want to keep on visiting time and time again – for a wide variety of reasons – work, shopping, browsing, eating out, theatre and such a lot more.  All this makes us confident that we can extend and grow the market even further.

“At six times an hour along the A52 between Derby and Nottingham, red arrow will be a true ‘turn up and go’ brand – you’ll hardly need a timetable.  And the doubling of the northern extension to Chesterfield is going to please a lot of people – it’s bound to bring us new customers”.
