The Calverton Village Get together is an annual fun day event which took place on Sunday, our calverton connection team where there and even went on to win the tug-o-war contest.  It was held at Labray School and this year's theme was 'The Wild West'.

The day started with a parade around the village including a local band, local schools, Saint Johns, rainbows, brownies, cubs, one of our calverton connection buses & the infamous MANGO man.  It was a great turnout with at least 250 people in the parade.

Our tug-o-war team are pictured here with MANGO man before the contest against local team Slack Flooring which we were delighted to win, team leader Neil Saunder's pulled that hard he ended up in the Arena barrier!

You couldn't miss MANGO man who joined in on the line dancing and of course he just had to have a go on the rodeo which we contributed £200 to sponsor, what we didn't realise was that when MANGO man sat on the bull his head disappeared into the suit.....
