Mickleover makeover needs new faces

Our popular bus service in Derby is to get a fresh new look and the search is on to find new ‘faces’ for the mickleover.

We will be staging a photo-shoot at Derby bus station on Monday, October 29, and it’s looking for customers to feature on our buses as part of the mickleover makeover.

Alex Hornby, Commercial Director, explained: “We’ve always believed our customers are the best people to promote our services.

“They rely on us to get to work or the shops as well as for meeting up with friends and family, so it’s fitting their faces should feature on the buses they use. The mickleover is particularly important to them as it provides a vital link to the Royal Derby Hospital.”

Customers who want to find themselves in the limelight only need to turn up at the bus station between 12 noon and 4.00pm on Monday and have their picture taken.

Alex went on to say many of our customers have already been pictured on buses servicing other routes across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and the idea has proved immensely popular.

“It’s a great way of getting people involved and we’re always getting comments about the buses and how bright and cheerful they look,” he added.

The refurbished vehicles will enter service next month and feature leather seats, air conditioning and easy access for wheelchairs, buggies and big bags of shopping!
