Trip to Leicester for under a fiver

The popularity of a Leicester shopping centre has prompted trent barton to launch a new service offering residents in Nottingham the opportunity to travel between the two cities for less than a fiver.

The new, non-stop leicester xprss will offer a round trip for just £4.90 and run six days a week.

Alex Hornby, Commercial Director, explained: “The High Cross Centre is proving to be a great attraction with its fabulous range of shops, including John Lewis.

“Our new service provides a quick and convenient way to visit the shops there, without the hassle of driving and finding a parking space.

“It also offers exceptional value for money, giving shoppers more spare cash to spend in the shops.”

From Monday, July 25, the leicester xprss will leave Nottingham Broadmarsh at 10.15am and return from Leicester St Margaret's bus station at 2.15pm weekdays and 3.15pm on Saturdays, with a journey time of around 50 minutes each way.

“The service is being launched in time for the school holidays, so it should prove a huge hit with families and young people,” Alex added.
