Poppies: Weeping Window from 9 June

price: free

dates: Friday 9 June - Sunday 23 July

A section of the iconic poppies which surrounded the Tower of London in memory of fallen soldiers, have been installed down the side of the Silk Mill Tower, at Derby's Silk Mill Museum, to form part of the Weeping Window, a nationwide tour.

The installation, which is made up of several thousand ceramic poppies, was created by Derbyshire's Paul Cummins and captured the world's attention back in 2014 when they were gradually unveiled at the Tower of London to mark 100 years since the start of the first World War.

The installation will be free for all and will run from Friday 9 June until Sunday 23 July.

Catch any of our fast & frequent buses to Derby city centre, the Silk Mill is a short walk away.
