Secret Santa rides the buses

Our customers travelling on our buses are being urged to stay on the lookout for Santa during the run up to Christmas.

Father Christmas will be abandoning his reindeer driven sledge for diesel-powered buses to spread some festive cheer right across trent barton land.

As well as handing out free goodies to commuters and shoppers he will be inviting them to report his location on our facebook pages for the chance to win a daily prize.

Alex Hornby, Commercial Director, explained: “As well as finding Santa sat next to them, customers could spot him behind the wheel and anyone who tells us what bus he is on will be entered into a free prize draw.

“As well as helping customers to get into a festive mood, Santa will also draw attention to our extensive range of services over the holiday period.”

On Christmas Eve, our buses will run as normal until around 7pm and main services into the city centre will resume on Boxing Day, running from around 10am to 5pm.

“This will help shoppers to grab a bargain in the sales without having to worry about driving into Derby and having to find a parking space,” continued Alex.

“For those who want to enjoy a late night out, our indigo service will continue to operate 24/7 from December 27 to December 30 whilst a Saturday timetable will be in operation on other routes, with buses running until midnight,” Alex added.
