Over the past weeks we’ve seen significant delays to the villager V1 & V3. The delays have mainly been caused by the bridge works at Burton-upon-Trent, which are not on the villager route, but the displaced traffic around the town centre is affecting our timekeeping. These delays are likely to last until Summer 2018 as further closures are planned.
We share your frustration and we’re doing the best we can to keep you moving. This has involved putting additional buses in to the service to help keep to time as best we can. However, these resources are limited and are not available all of the time. Our friendly team are doing their very best in what are extremely challenging conditions and we thank you for bearing with us.
To help improve our timekeeping, which we know is a top customer priority, we’re planning to make changes to the villager V1 & V3 timetable in January 2018.
In the mean time we’ll continue to closely monitor the service and use our resources when necessary to limit any delays as much as possible.
