Winter Wonderland returns to Nottingham and is extending the magic this Christmas!
Nottingham’s premier Christmas entertainment attraction will once again include the Ice Rink and Sky Skate ice path, plus the popular ice bar, Sur La Piste and Altitude ski bars. Open for an extra week this year, Winter
Wonderland runs from Wednesday 13 November until New Year's Eve. Festive fun seekers can choose to skate around Old Market Square, metres above the crowd, quench their thirst with a festive drink at one of two skate-up bars, or for those not so keen on heights, enjoy the ground-level ice rink.
For anyone who doesn’t feel like putting their skates on, there is a themed Ice Bar kept at a chilling -10 degrees. Keep warm with the gloves and coats provided and enjoy a drink from an ice glass. This experience is not to be missed, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Peter Pan - Nottingham Theatre Royal

The Nottingham Playhouse
The legendary Panto returns in 2024 from Friday 29 November to Saturday 18 January.
Packed with comedy chaos courtesy of Nottingham’s favourite dame, John Elkington, join us for a show jam-packed with laughter, live music, and spectacular special effects. Late Night Shopping
Enjoy some late night shopping at Victoria Centre this Winter! For early birds, you can get some late night Christmas shopping done on Friday 29 November, 11 December to 14th December until 8pm. Then from Monday 16th December – Saturday 21st December, the shopping centre is open until 8pm daily (Sundays until 5pm).
They have normal trading hours on Christmas Eve. Please note that Victoria Centre is closed on Christmas Day.

Skating at the National Ice Centre
The centrepiece of any winter season in Nottinghamshire is The National Ice Centre. Enjoy a magical skating experience in the indoor venue underneath twinkling lights, seasonal decorations and a majestic Christmas tree!
Christmas skating is available from Sunday 1 December , and kicks off with their Christmas lights switch on! You can expect to skate along to all of your favourite Christmas songs, chomp on some delicious festive food, and skate underneath the twinkling lights and Christmas tree.
Stop by their Santa's Grotto for your chance to meet the man himself, throughout various dates in December. A ticket includes a meeting with Santa, a skating session, a Christmas gift and a drinks token.

Christmas in Derbyshire
Bakewell Christmas Market
This year's event will be held in the town's centre and welcomes visitors, friends and families to enjoy a "quintessential English Christmas Market". The market will be held on Market Street, Granby Road and Riverside Crescent and is a free event for all.
Crafts, gifts, clothing, cushions, baked goods and hot foods will be among the many items on display as well as special appearances from Disney characters Stitch, Minnie and Mickey Mouse, as well the Elf on the Shelf and, of course, The Grinch.
The market will be open on Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November between 9am and 5pm each day.
Victorian Matlock Christmas Market
Victorian Matlock Christmas Market is set to make a return this year in early December, looking to host more than 200 stalls in what is sure to be a hit with the Derbyshire community. Named "a food lover's paradise" by organisers, the markets will feature a winter wonderland alongside an array of unique gifts, crafts and goodies tailored for the many visitors set to explore the market over the weekend.
The market will run between Friday 6 December and Sunday 8 December between 9am and 5pm each day, taking place at Halls Leys Park, DE4 3SX.
Festive Derby
Festive Derby will be returning to Derby city centre this winter with the return of the Cathedral Quarter Ice Rink, seasonal dining and an array of festive entertainment. It all kicks off on Saturday 30 November with the Christmas Lights Switch-on - in partnership with Smooth Radio.
You can also enjoy a selection of fantastic outdoor entertainment from acts including Invisible Friends, the Duffield Singers, the Derby Concert Band, Shannon Elmore and the Derwent Valley Wind Band.
There will also be lots of festive treats to get stuck into, including German sausage, doughnuts and crepes and there will also be fairground rides for the children. Plus you can spot colourful characters including Naughty Elves, the grumpy Grinch and the Ice King and Queen as they appear in St Peter's Quarter and the Cathedral Quarter.

Santa's Grotto - Chesterfield
Tickets are now on offer to see St. Nick himself later this year, with
Chesterfield Council set to host Father Christmas between Sunday 30 November to Sunday 22 December.
Every child who visits Santa will receive a wrapped present and will be able to speak to him about their Christmas wishes this year, with ten people being admitted per 30-minute period.
Tickets are priced at £4.50 per child, with a maximum of two adults allowed with each paying child - any extra adults will need to buy a ticket.
