From Monday 11 November until 19th November, there will be overnight closures between 8:00 pm & 6:00 am on the A453 Ashby Road between Pegasus Business Park & Donington services due to streetlighting works.
During this time our skylink services will need to divert as follows:
skylink Derby to Derby – will divert via the A453 and A50 to Castle Donington Bus Station.
Customers from skylink Derby or those travelling from East Midlands Gateway (for Long Eaton/Nottingham) will need to transfer on to a skylink Nottingham or skylink express at Castle Donington Bus Station to either East Midlands Airport or Long Eaton/Nottingham.
skylink Derby to Leicester – will serve the normal route passing through the works.
skylink express to East Midlands Airport – will divert via Castle Donington to EMA, serving East Midlands Gateway on the route back to Nottingham only.
skylink express to Nottingham – will serve the normal route passing through the works.
skylink Nottingham to East Midlands Airport – will serve the full route until UPS in East Midlands Airport. skylink Nottingham will be unable to serve East Midlands Gateway.
Customers from East Midlands Gateway requiring skylink Nottingham will need to board a skylink Derby to Castle Donington and change at Castle Donington Bus Station to continue their journey to Long Eaton/Nottingham.
skylink Nottingham to Long Eaton and Nottingham – will serve the normal route from UPS, missing out East Midlands Gateway and Pegasus Business Park.
Customers from East Midlands Gateway requiring skylink Nottingham will need to board a skylink Derby towards Derby and change at Castle Donington Bus Station.
The road will be fully closed to the public but special access will be allowed for buses at certain times:
On the 11 & 12 November, there will be a full westbound closure towards East Midlands Airport, buses travelling towards Loughborough & Leicester between Pegasus Business Park and Donington Services will be allowed through the working area with a chaperone
On the 13 & 14 November, all services will serve their normal route with chaperone access in both directions through the works
On the 15 November, we'll follow the same procedure as on the 11th & 12th.
On the 18 November, we'll follow the same procedure as the 13th & 14th.
