Heads‑up for Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th March – busy weekend across Nottingham

There are several major events taking place across Nottingham this weekend, and they’ll have an impact on all services travelling into and out of the city centre. Here’s what to expect:

Saturday 7 March

🏃 Inter‑Schools Cross Country Championship — Wollaton Park
A full‑day event with around 10,000 people expected.
With the current one‑way system between QMC and Priory, you can expect delays before and after the event as traffic builds.

🎓 Nottingham Trent University Open Day
Visitors are expected to start arriving from around 8.30am.
Traffic will be heavier around Clifton and the City Campus, especially late morning and early afternoon.

⚽ England Ladies v Iceland — City Ground, 12.30pm kick‑off
A big attendance is expected, meaning delays around Trent Bridge, Meadow Lane, and Nottingham city centre before and after the match.

Sunday 8 March

🏃‍♀️ Nottingham 10k Road Race
City‑centre road closures and diversions will be in place.
Most closures run from 8am to 11am, with some extended until 1pm.
This will affect routes across the city.

♀️ International Women’s Day March — 12.30pm to 1.15pm
While it won’t directly impact our routes, it may add extra footfall and traffic in the city centre at the same time people are heading home from the 10k.

With so much happening, the city will be much busier than usual, and delays are likely across the network.

Our drivers will do their best to keep everyone moving.
