First we did a lot of research. Then in May last year, rapid 1 made its debut, providing exactly what people said they wanted - a fast link down the A610 bypass to Nottingham from Codnor, Heanor & Langley Mill - and knocking as much as 25 minutes off previous journey times on the rainbow 1 route.

rapid 1 got off to a flying start and in the run up to Christmas 8,000 trips were made in December alone. 

Our latest survey of over 200 customers shows just how much people like the new rapid 1.

• 8 people out of every 10 love it for its fast journey
• Over 80% are making extra trips to Nottingham just because of rapid 1
• 17% of people hadn’t used the bus to Nottingham before.
• 40% of the people we spoke to were using MANGO
• Two thirds could think of nothing they disliked about rapid 1 at all – most of those who could, said they wanted it to see it run more often!
