Investment in new, bigger buses alongside the introduction of a fresh new look is highlighting our commitment to communities between Nottingham, Radcliffe and Bingham.
We have merged the xprss and radcliffe line services to create a bright new rushcliffe greens brand. The move coincides with the arrival of six new buses worth around £660,000 and a £10,000 refurbishment of existing vehicles.
The eye-catching green, British-built Optare vehicles all feature free, fast Wi-Fi, comfy seats with leather headrests and Next Stop displays. They complement the five large single-deck buses already serving the routes and these are also now sporting a striking new livery.
Alex Hornby, trentbarton Marketing and Communications Director, explained: “The new buses are bigger than the ones they replace and, in response to feedback from customers, we are using the larger vehicles during the busiest times of the day.
“This will offer customers more seats and more space on routes that have become increasingly popular in recent years.”
The rushcliffe greens operate to the same timetable as the xprss and radcliffe line buses, with services every 15 mins from Radcliffe through West Bridgford to Nottingham.
There are also buses every 15 mins from Bingham to Nottingham direct via the A52. Alex added: “This investment reflects our continued commitment to communities in and around Nottingham, and by introducing bigger and better buses we’re showing that we are responding to the needs of our customers.”
