From 29 September, we're changing indigo to reflect current travel habits.
- every 5 mins Beeston to Nottingham
- every 10 mins Long Eaton to Nottingham
- every 20 mins to & from Derby
- every 20 mins to & from Briar Gate
It's been many years since the structure of the indigo timetable has changed but a lot has happened in that time in terms of travelling patterns. So, after a lot of research and studying of the current trends, we're bringing you a new indigo timetable from 29 September.
Beeston to Nottingham
More buses, every 5 mins from Beeston bus station via University and QMC to Nottingham.
MANGO fare just £1.25 into Nottingham, and student cash fare just £1.
We'll run every 10 mins Sundays, every 15 mins Mon-Sat evening, every 20 mins Sunday evening, every 30 mins Fri & Sat after midnight and hourly Sun-Thu after midnight.
Buses will still run 24/7.
Long Eaton to Nottingham
Buses will run every 10 mins, and every 5 mins at morning rush hour when we're at our busiest.
skylink and sawley xprss will offer an additional 3 buses per hour, fast into Nottingham via Queens Road.
We'll run every 10 mins Sundays, every 15 mins Mon-Sat evening, every 20 mins Sunday evening, every 30 mins Fri & Sat after midnight and hourly Sun-Thu after midnight.
Buses will still run 24/7.
To & from Derby
Still every 20 mins on indigo. There'll be no change to evening & Sunday levels of service too.
You'll now have buses every 10 mins to Derby from Long Eaton or Borrowash with indigo and the new zoom - which goes non stop along the A52.
To & from Briar Gate
Still every 20 mins on indigo. There'll be no change to evening & Sunday levels of service too.
To & from Sawley
Travelling to and from Old Sawley and New Sawley? You’ll get a new bus to Nottingham just for you called sawley xprss.
The new sawley xprss will run fast into Nottingham every hour via Long Eaton and Queens Road, and we’ll also run some indigo buses to & from Sawley at rush hours.
skylink will still run every 30 mins along Tamworth Road. Through tickets will also be available from Sawley on my15 or sawley xprss to get to Derby or Nottingham on indigo or zoom.
Fast buses from Long Eaton to Nottingham
The main skylink timetable is unchanged with buses running every 30 mins, and our 24/7 timetable remains, but the poorly-used extra buses running ‘short trips’ between Long Eaton and Nottingham will no longer run.
From Long Eaton to Nottingham there will still be 3 buses an hour fast along Queens Road (including the new sawley xprss) and 6 indigo buses via Beeston town centre into Nottingham.
