A Jubilee street party organised by Loscoe Church of England Primary School got off to a fantastic start on Friday thanks to a special delivery from us.
We donated a £100 party pack to the school as part of a competition to find a Jubilee event involving the whole community.
11-year-old Courtney Holmes (front) and other youngsters from Loscoe Church of England Primary School celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with the help of trent barton.
As well as children and staff at the school, the Loscoe party involved parents, grandparents and elderly residents of neighbouring bungalows. Together they also planted a number of trees in the area to mark the Queen’s 60 years on the throne.
The school’s head teacher, Steve Jackson, said the party pack was a surprise addition to the festivities.
“The party was nominated by a member of the PTA and we were really surprised when we won,” he said. “The bunting in the party pack was a fantastic addition to the decorations made by the children.”
Commented Sarah Taylor, Marketing Manager: “It was great to see a whole community involved in the spirit of the occasion, particularly the children waving their flags and dressing up in red, white and blue. We were delighted to have played a small part in the celebrations.”
