Changes to the rushcliffe greens & 22

rushcliffe greens

Our buses on the rushcliffe greens will now serve the villages of Aslockton, Sutton-cum-Granby and Langar every hour as part of an extension to the route in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council and replace withdrawn sections on the current route of bus 22.

These changes will not cause any major changes to current times and routes of existing rushcliffe greens between Nottingham, Radcliffe and Bingham, but provide extensions to current journeys.

  • Buses that currently run from Nottingham via West Bridgford and Radcliffe to Bingham will extend via Aslockton, Sutton-cum-Granby and Langar to Cropwell Bishop, and then continue via Radcliffe and West Bridgford back to Nottingham.
  • Buses that currently run from Nottingham via West Bridgford and Radcliffe to Cropwell Bishop will extend via Langar, Sutton-cum-Granby and Aslockton to Bingham, and then continue via Radcliffe and West Bridgford back to Nottingham.
  • Buses that currently run from Nottingham via West Bridgford, Radcliffe and Gunthorpe will finish at Bingham Market Place. Some buses at rush hours will extend to and from Bottesford.

There will be some other minor timetable changes.

We’ll also introduce another big single deck bus to help with overcrowding issues.

As part of an extension to the route in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council from 3 August our buses on the rushcliffe greens will now serve the villages of Aslockton, Sutton-cum-Granby and Langar every hour.

This will replace sections of current route on bus 22.

As a result of these changes;

  • Apart from some rush hour buses, 22 will run between Nottingham, Gamston and Cotgrave only.
  • There will be an early morning connecting journey from Sutton leaving at 6:42am to Cotgrave and a through bus from Sutton-cum-Granby to Nottingham at 7:41am.
  • Two afternoon rush hour departures from Nottingham at 4:15pm and 5:45pm will continue to carry on through to Sutton-cum-Granby.
