Take off every 20 minutes on skylink

The popularity of skylink between Nottingham and East Midlands Airport is set to soar with the introduction of a new, expanded timetable.

Buses will now run every 20 minutes instead of every half hour on our successful skylink Nottingham route, which also serves residents along the route in Beeston, Chilwell, Long Eaton and Castle Donington.

Alex Hornby, our marketing & communications director, commented: “Originally, the service was part-funded by the taxpayer, but since we’ve operated it commercially, skylink has really taken off.

“In the past couple of years, thanks to our investment and continuing partnership with East Midlands Airport to grow travel by bus, passenger numbers have increased significantly. We’ve introduced plenty of trentbarton touches as part of the skylink package, including free Wi-Fi, a dedicated manager with a team of drivers running the route round the clock.”

Now the 24/7 service will benefit from more daytime buses, making it easier than ever to get to the airport to catch a flight. skylink manager Barry Allitt added that “Our team are really pleased to part of this exciting development after just less than 2 years of running skylink. The additional buses will also help anyone who needs to travel between East Midlands Airport, Long Eaton and Nottingham for business or pleasure.”
