St Peter's Bridge has re-opened almost 3 weeks ahead of schedule
Great news...
Engineers have now finished off the work on the decking of St Peter’s Bridge in Burton and it has now re-opened ahead of schedule to all traffic.
Back in August work began on:
- Strengthening
- Water proofing
- Resurfacing
The closure of St Peter's Bridge, one of two major bridges in Burton-on-Trent, has caused significant congestion and delays in and around the town centre. This meant that the villager and X38 struggled with timekeeping, especially at peak times.
During the closure, we added extra resources where possible to help minimise disruption and delays to our customers and our drivers did their best to keep things moving.
We want to thank all our customers for their patience during this frustrating time.
