If you’re a frequent user of X38 you probably know that the service has been historically run with a joint timetable in a partnership between trentbarton and Arriva.
From 7 September Arriva have taken the decision to run a full X38 timetable independently from trentbarton. We will of course be continuing our own X38 service, whilst making a few key improvements!
The good news is that trentbarton will be running a new full X38 timetable from 7 September, and we’re taking the opportunity to go more frequently, with buses every 15 minutes non-stop between Derby and Burton.
In the meantime, from 31 August we will be honouring the timetable supplemented with additional journeys every 15 mins and honoring all existing X38 tickets, all journeys on trentbarton X38 journeys will be free until 7 September.
Our new timetable features earlier and later journeys, including from Burton to Royal Derby Hospital - ideal for shift workers.
We’ll have a couple of extra buses helping out on X38 to make sure we deliver the new timetable, so if your bus is a little greener in colour than usual don’t panic - it’s still your usual X38!
